The Bamboo Citadel Katana is a masterfully crafted limited-edition sword, blending traditional Japanese design with expert hand-forging by Citadel’s artisans in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Made from imported European DNH7 high carbon steel, the blade features a differentially hardened edge and a bo-hi (fuller) for enhanced balance and agility without sacrificing strength. The hand-cut pure iron tsuba is engraved with a delicate nanako (stippled) pattern and fitted with seki-gane copper inserts for a perfect, adjustable blade fit—hallmarks of authentic craftsmanship. The tsuka is tightly wrapped in imported Japanese silk over full same-gawa (ray skin), while the black lacquered saya is strengthened with a ray skin band near the mouth. Each katana is individually handmade and limited to just 100 pieces, uniquely numbered and signed by the smith, and includes a certificate of authenticity, making it a rare and collectible sword that feels like a natural extension of the hand.
